20130921_Open door 15 Wing

On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of September 2013, the 15th Airlift Wing (Belgium/Melsbroek) celebrated the 65th anniversary of the Wing together with 40 years of operational service of the C-130 and Falcon DA-20 fleet.

  • Also the Belgian Air Force Falcon 20 participated in the celebrations. The celebration logo for "40 years of operation" can be seen here on its engine (Garret TFE 731-5BR-2C). Two Falcon 20's are in use with the Belgian Air Force since 1973. In 2004, both aircraft went through an extensive modernisation exercise.
